SPECIFICATIONS Type 625 Nickel Alloy is covered by the following specifications: AMS 5599 Sheet, Strip and Plate, Similar Specifications AMS 5581 Seamless or Welded Tubing AMS 5666 Bars, Forgings, Extrusions and Rings. ASTM B446 UNS: NO6625
RESISTANCE TO OXIDATION and CORROSION Nickel Alloy 625 has a high level of chromium and molybdenum which provides a high level of pitting and crevice corrosion resistance to sea water, neutral salts and brines. Also the alloy is highly resistant to chloride stress-corrosion cracking and has excellent oxidation and scaling resistance at temperatures up to 1090°C (2000°F).
