Powder melted, hardenable, unalloyed free cutting steel with 1% of carbon, specially designed for small high precision parts in the watch and instrument industry also used for security parts in ABS braking systems

Manufactured in Rod, Bar and coil

Coil 0.30mm to 3.5mm

Rod 0.4mm to 3.5mm

Other sizes on request.

Tolerances

Standard ISO h6, up to +/- 0.002mm on request in short time available out of roundness: 1/2 of dia tol

Tensile strength Rm: approx 670-800 MPa/mm² depending on the dimension

Heat Treatment:

Hardening Temp 800-820ºC (up to dia 5.00mm)

780-800ºC ( above dia 5.00mm)

quenching in oil (oil temp) 50-60ºC slow furnace cooling max

Obtainable hardness

64-67 HRC

Cutting Rate

55 to 65 m/min (approx value, depending on the lubrication oil, cutting tools, shape of parts)
