Notable General Characteristics are:

• Able to stand dynamic loads

• Resistance to abrasion

• Low coefficient of friction

• Vibration and sound dampening properties

• For outdoor applications use black materials

Extruded Type 12u: Lower mechanical strength, stiffness, hardness and wear resistance than types 6 and 66 , but a lower moisture absorption renders this grade more dimensionally stable, its mechanical and electrical properties are less affected by ambient relative humidity .  Generally, its resistance to attack by chemicals is better than types 6 and 66.
